Novak Djokovic Wimbledon preparation gathers pace by reaching Aegon International final at Eastbourne

Novak Djokovic eased into the final of the Aegon International with a straight-sets defeat of Daniil Medvedev that further strengthened his preparations for Wimbledon. The change to the Serbian’s pre-SW19 routine appears increasingly likely to result in the significant boost to his confidence that would come with winning Saturday’s final in the first year he has played at Eastbourne. However his 6-4 6-4 victory, secured in an hour and 22 minutes, again demonstrated he remains significantly short of top form. As has been the case for much of his week…

Australia pay dispute: Are the Ashes really under threat?

David Warner has been vocal in his support of the cricketers’ union What a mess. There’s no other way to describe the fact the deadline has passed for Australia’s cricketers to pen a pay deal with the board and no agreement is in place. The result? Amy Yang falls out of lead in second round of Women’s PGA Championship

OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. — Danielle Kang won back-to-back majors as an amateur yet she’s never cracked the winner’s circle in her half-dozen years as a pro. The 24-year-old Californian took a big step in the right direction, grabbing a share of the second-round lead in the morning wave Thursday at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Her biggest hurdle could well be co-leader Sei Young Kim, the LPGA Tour’s 2015 Rookie of the Year and already a six-time winner on tour. Kang and Kim each shot 5-under 66 to reach 7-under…

Andre Iguodala doesn’t have plans to meet with the Golden State Warriors during the initial free-agency period, league sources told ESPN’s Chris Haynes. Iguodala’s decision doesn’t rule out the small forward returning to the Warriors, but it will give other teams the opportunity to swoop in and take away one component of Golden State’s title-winning core. Teams can begin talking to free agents at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, but no deals can be officially signed until July 7. ESPN has confirmed a Vertical report that Iguodala plans to meet with other…
